About Troop 555

Troop 555 has a long and active history, beginning in 1994 with our founding members
coming from Cub Scout Pack 505 and Boy Scout Troop 710.  Our program is outdoor
oriented with at least one activity per month, and occasionally a day activity.

The Troop is service oriented and we routinely assist in service projects for a family,
church or the community.  We assist with food drives for various organizations
throughout the Bowling Green area, and participate in Flag retirement ceremonies.

We participate in a Summer Camp, offered by the BSA at Boxwell Scout Reservation,
in Gallatin, Tennessee, one of the best summer camps in the nation.  Troop 555's
program tries to include a long trip once a year, if the boys are interested, which
consists of a long term camping trip.  Notably we have traveled to Gettysburg,
Washington DC, canoed the Current River, and White Water Rafted in West Virginia
also an overnight adventure on the USS Alabama to mention a few.
